Farm Stand at Springhouse Farm
The Farm Stand at Springhouse Farm is where our field work meets your table. Located in Vilas, North Carolina, we offer the freshest vegetables, flower bouquets, plant starts, and a curated selection of farm-inspired merchandise like tote bags and t-shirts, all available on the honor system.
Our commitment to increasing access to healthy, local food has been recognized regionally, including a feature by High Country Press on efforts to support rural farm stands and community food access. You’ll often see us in the fields because we want you to know exactly how your food and flowers were grown — transparency is part of how we farm. When you visit, we encourage questions and connection, not just transactions.
Fresh Vegetables
Our stand features a variety of vegetables harvested straight from the field and stocked daily to ensure quality, flavor, and nutrients that can’t be matched by long supply chains. Buying here means food isn’t sitting in storage or shipping for days; it’s coming from the soil to your plate.
Flower Bouquets
Beautiful flower bouquets harvested on the farm are available at the stand, bringing color and farm charm into your home.
Farm inspired merchanise
You’ll find t-shirts, tote bags, and other items inspired by the farm and available at the stand, perfect for remembering your visit or gifting to someone else.
Plant starters
Plant starts are offered for those interested in growing their own garden at home, giving you a head start with healthy plants right from our fields.
Come visit us
In addition to the Farm Stand, you can also find Springhouse Farm products — including vegetables, flower bouquets, and plant starts — at the Watauga County Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
The market brings together over 60 local vendors and offers a lively community atmosphere where you can shop for seasonal goods and meet other growers and artisans.
Related Experiences
Our Farm Stand is open every day from dawn to dusk from May through October, located at 433 Silverstone Road in Vilas, NC — about 15 minutes from Boone and Appalachian State University.
The stand operates on the honor system, so you pick what you want and leave payment as indicated. We restock daily, and our goal is to make fresh, local food and flowers easily accessible to the community.
How it works
Shopping at the Farm Stand supports local food systems, reduces the time between harvest and table, and lets you experience produce and flowers that haven’t traveled long distances.
Because our food moves straight from the field to the wash station and finally to the stand, you receive freshness and nutrients that can’t be matched by products stored in long supply chains.
