Join us for a hands-on creative workshop and learn how to make your own sourdough bread right here on Springhouse Farm. Instructor Emma Green will provide you with:

  • Lesson on how to accomplish the biggest steps in the process of sourdough bread making.

  • Sample of sourdough bread to taste.

  • Recipe Cards (including how to feed starter, ingredients to make dough, process of makig bread).

  • Needed Ingredient Cards (list of curcial tools/ingredients before making first loaf)

  • Optional jars of 6 year old sourdough starter for sale for $15.

  • Light refreshments will be served.

About Emma: “I’m a junior at Appalachian State University and will be an intern on Springhouse Farm for the 2026 season. In my free time I love cooking and baking, skiing, photography. traveling, and spending time with my friends”.
