Why eating local food is so GOOD for you
  • Fresh is best - our produce is extra healthy since it doesn't lose its nutrients (which happens when it is shipped). It's been proven that the antioxidant content of vegetables declines with time in storage. Our produce stand is stocked daily to ensure the highest quality for you.
  • Less pollution and carbon footprint - we use less packaging than the traditional grocery store and try to give you the option of using paper products of plastic when possible. Our food is literally transported straight from the field to the wash station to the produce stand, as opposed to shipped all over the country.
  • Keeps your community healthy - we work hard to create a safe and happy environment for our interns, employees, volunteers and our pollinators. Purchasing our produce ensures that we can continue to be a valuable asset to our community.
  • Eating local promotes connection - when you visit our produce stand, chances are you will see us out in the field growing your food! There's no mystery about how it was raised, as we encourage questions and are very transparent about our growing practices.
  • Incomparable flavor - our vegetables are left on the vine longer, resulting in sweeter, juicier and tastier flavor. Once you eat a fresh head of lettuce, a vine-ripened heirloom tomato, a sweet red pepper...you'll be ruined for life! Nothing compares to the taste of fresh, organically grown, seasonal vegetables.
