Located in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, we are a sustainable small farm specializing in vegetables, cut flowers and agritourism. We are conveniently only 15 minutes from downtown Boone.
Springhouse Farm is named for an original feature of the farmhouse built in the late 1800s. The springhouse, still intact, cooled food using naturally cold water from a nearby spring. The soil still turns up arrowheads carved from quartz on the land. Mindful of the ingenuity of the springhouse and the deep history of the land, we use environmentally responsible methods to grow food and flowers that nourishes our community. We pride ourselves in being a true woman owned and operated farm (click here to read all about us!) Mother and daughter duo, Amy & Jean Fiedler, started the farm in 2008 and continue to work together every day during the growing season. |
